Problem: Snails eating your water lilies.
They can be a problem because low light
slows plant recovery resulting in snail over
grazing ie. holes in your water lily leaves.
Solution:
You might think you should get rid of the snails,
but it would be more effective to balance your
pond or water pot.
Snails aren't bad since they help clean up
by eating excess food, old vegetation and
algae that would otherwise foul the water.
Balance your ecosytem by:
1. Adequate sunlight which promotes
vigorous plant growth and keeps them
well ahead of the snail incursions.
2. Add fish such as Clown Loach or Fresh
Water Puffer; some varieties enjoy a tasty
meal of escargot and will eat many
insects as well.
