Company History
In June, 1975 Kevin Mulkern started his landscaping business with a tiny Datsun pick up truck, a mower and a few hand tools. He began with an 8 hour work week and a lot of time for surfing. Kevin’s goal was to provide the best landscape maintenance service in the state. After two years of hard work, he expanded to major renovations and complete landscape installations. In 1977 he obtained a landscape contractor’s license and his wife Susan joined the company.
Kevin and Susan opened a half acre nursery in Waimanalo in 1991. It started with a small vegetable garden, and a few easy to grow plants for upcoming jobs.
Over the years Mulkern Landscaping has worked for thousands of local customers, either designing, installing, renovating or maintaining gardens. That’s a lot of happy customers. Our goal is to make sure there are thousands more.
